The WFM700 manual shows that 1080I/50 can be used as a reference. However+ when that format is applied+ it shows as 1080I/59.94 and format mismatch. What needs to be done to use 1080I/50 for external reference?

Question :

The WFM700 manual shows that 1080I/50 can be used as a reference. However+ when that format is applied+ it shows as 1080I/59.94 and format mismatch. What needs to be done to use 1080I/50 for external reference?

Answer :

The instrument must have a version “B” External Reference module installed before the 1080i: 50 external reference format selection is available.

Earlier “A” version modules do not support this format. View the Installed

Options display in the System Info portion of the Help menu to determine which version of the External Reference module is installed in your instrument.

If you wish to add the 1080i/50Hz external reference support to your current WFM700 order part number 671-5336-01.  This will be a new external reference card that will replace the external reference card currently in your unit.  Please refer to the WFM700 User Manual for instructions on how to remove and insert a new external reference card.  You will also need firmware version 2.4 or higher in order to begin utilizing a 1080i/50Hz external reference signal. Firmware can be downloaded at Software and Drivers
