Question :

Answer :

Dynamic range is stated in divisions. HP and LeCroy use 8 divisions of dynamic range. Any waveform exceeding the display will be clipped. Tektronix TDS oscilloscopes have 10.24 divisions of dynamic range, more than one division above the display top and below the bottom. This helps limit the opportunity for clipping. A 0.5 zoom factor will recover these divisions to the display for viewing.
