Leading Test and Measurement Experts to Provide Tutorials, Hands-on Trainings, Whitepaper Presentations and More During the World Metrology Day Celebration
BEAVERTON, Ore., May 14, 2015 -- Tektronix, a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation, today announced it will be hosting the NCSLI Northwestern Region Measurement Training Summit and World Metrology Day Celebration Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at its Beaverton Campus in Building 38, 3025 Zworykin Avenue, Beaverton, OR 97005.
Training summit overview
Many measurements are made in the field outside the controlled calibration laboratory environment. In these environments, variables can potentially arise that create false acceptance or false rejection situations which in turn can lead to unnecessary rework, increased cost, and the passing of faulty products. The training summit will expose many of these critical variables and reveal how they can negatively impact product development, production, and testing.
The tutorials will provide in-depth training on various measurement and metrology practices and principles. White paper presentations will introduce new and intriguing concepts while hands-on demonstrations will provide insight into some of the factors hidden in a "measurement loop" that lead to headaches, heartbreaks and cost overruns.
Open to both NCSLI members ($20) and non-members ($25), the event offers a full day of high quality measurement training for laboratory and test engineers, technicians, and personnel, trainers, lab supervisors, inspectors, technical writers, and quality professionals. Exhibitors will include Anton Paar, Fluke Calibration, JMP, Keysight Technologies, King Nutronics, Northwest EMC, Pacific Test and Measurement, TEGAM, Tektronix, and Tool and Gage Associates.
To find a list of featured white paper presentations, hands-on demonstrations, and a complete schedule for the day go to the NCSLI website.
